About Bloody Time

This is another visual and radio documentary I pitched and developed for BBC Radio 1.

Working with director Geej Ower and BBC producer Joe Hallam, we told the story of a young activist, Amika George, who led the global #freeperiod movement in between school assignments. Her aim was to change the conversation around menstruation and ensure there’s no more stories like this one in the UK.

In April 2019 the UK government announced it would provide free sanitary products for anyone in primary and secondary school.
